Fortnite has just unleashed its most ambitious collaboration yet with Netflix's hit series, Stranger Things, delivering a massive content drop for the beloved Blitz Royale mode. As of November 21, 2025, players can now immerse themselves in an entirely new island map, meticulously designed with iconic Hawkins locations, alongside five fresh character skins hitting the item shop. This substantial update injects a fresh dose of spooky excitement into the battle royale experience, marking a significant milestone for the game.

A Transformed Battleground: Hawkins & The Upside Down Collide

The lightning-fast, five-minute rounds of Blitz Royale now take place on a completely redesigned island, a first for the mode known for its diminutive map size. This new battleground is sharply divided by a distinct border, separating the familiar world of Hawkins, Indiana, from the eerie, corrupted landscapes of the Upside Down. This innovative design introduces two unique biomes to Blitz Royale, a feature previously unseen in the rapid-fire mode. While the western "normal world" half of the island maintains Fortnite's classic day/night cycle, the eastern "Upside Down" counterpart remains perpetually shrouded in darkness and an unsettling atmosphere.

Iconic Hawkins Locations Revealed

Players will find four new named locations scattered across this bifurcated island, each drawing inspiration from the beloved Stranger Things universe:

  • Gnarly Farms
  • Stranger Suburbs
  • Library Landing
  • Hawkins Heights

Notably, Hawkins Heights features a prominent movie theater sign and marquee. While the sign teases the impending Chapter 6 finale event, scheduled for Saturday, November 29, it's a clever easter egg as the actual movie theater isn't playable on the map.

New Skins and What's NOT Included

Accompanying the map overhaul are five brand-new character skins now available in the item shop. These highly anticipated cosmetic additions allow players to embody fan-favorite characters, including Vecna and the original four boys, further deepening the crossover immersion.

However, it's crucial for players to note that this Stranger Things takeover focuses exclusively on the map and cosmetic items. There are no new Stranger Things-themed weapons or unique mechanics added to the loot pool.
