Henry Finally Hits 60 FPS on PS5

It’s about time. After years of console players navigating Bohemia at a sluggish 30 frames per second, Warhorse Studios has finally pulled the trigger. The native PS5 version of Kingdom Come: Deliverance launched today, February 13, 2026, and it’s bringing the technical muscle the original hardware desperately lacked.

For those of us who suffered through the loading times and pop-in of the PS4 era, this is a massive win. The big draw is the 60 FPS cap, but Warhorse is also promising "enhanced visual fidelity" and specific graphical features designed for a smoother experience. We believe this is the definitive way to play one of the best RPGs of the last decade, especially if you want to see the dirt under Henry’s fingernails in high definition.

The KCD 2 Success Story

This surprise drop isn't just a gift for fans; it’s a victory lap. The announcement coincides with Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2 hitting a massive milestone, selling over five million units since its launch exactly one year ago. The franchise has officially graduated to the big leagues.

CEO Martin Frývaldský attributed this success to the players and the team’s persistence. In a recent press release, Frývaldský stated, "I want to thank everyone at Warhorse Studios, our publishing partners at PLAION and of course, it wouldn't be possible without our amazing and ever growing community. Thank you for being part of this journey and making this a reality!"

Availability and Physical Editions

Free Upgrades for Returning Knights

Warhorse is doing the right thing here: anyone who owns the digital or physical PS4 version gets the PS5 edition as a free upgrade. It’s a pro-consumer move that rewards the long-term fans who supported the game when it was still a janky, ambitious underdog.

Physical Collectors

If you’re a physical media purist, you’ll have to wait just a bit longer to put this on your shelf. While the digital version is live right now, the physical PS5 version of Kingdom Come: Deliverance won't hit retail shelves until May 15, 2026. Given the momentum of the sequel, we expect those copies to move fast.

Our Take

The timing is perfect. With five million new fans likely coming off the high of the sequel, giving them a polished, high-performance version of the original is a brilliant move for the franchise's longevity. If you missed out on Henry’s first adventure because of the technical hurdles, you no longer have an excuse.
