Emmy-winner Phoebe Waller-Bridge, celebrated for her work on Fleabag and Killing Eve, has been confirmed as the writer and an executive producer for the highly anticipated live-action Tomb Raider series on Prime Video.

This announcement marks a monumental step in a landmark deal between Crystal Dynamics and Amazon to build an interconnected Tomb Raider universe, spanning television, film, and a new mainline video game. Waller-Bridge is set to pen the script for the series, which will serve as a cornerstone for this ambitious, cross-platform narrative.

"If I could tell my teenage self this was happening I think she’d explode," Waller-Bridge said in a statement. "Tomb Raider has been a huge part of my life and I feel incredibly privileged to be bringing it to television with such passionate collaborators.
