After a series of anticipation-building delays, Analogue has confirmed that preorders for its highly coveted Analogue 3D console will resume on November 24. However, fans looking to secure this modernized N64 experience will face a slight price increase, with the unit now retailing for $270, up from its initial $250. The company also announced a new target shipping date of December 2.

The Comeback and the Cost

The Analogue 3D, designed to deliver an authentic 4K Nintendo 64 experience, will once again be available for preorder starting November 24. This latest update confirms a price adjustment, with the console's cost rising to $270. Analogue attributes this increase directly to "tariffs." Fans who were fortunate enough to secure a preorder during the initial October sale, which quickly sold out at $250, will be unaffected by the price hike. For those who might reconsider, Analogue has reiterated that existing preorders can be canceled for a full refund.

A Journey of Delays & Dedication

The path to the Analogue 3D's release has been anything but smooth. This marks the third significant delay for the FPGA-based console. Originally slated for Q1 2025, it was subsequently pushed to July, then August, before landing on its current Q4 2025 window, with the new December 2 shipping date. Earlier delays were linked to "ongoing uncertainty with US tariffs." The latest postponement, however, stems from an unspecified "unexpected production issue," though Analogue states this new Q4 2025 estimate was "intentionally set conservatively." Despite the setbacks, Analogue asserts the console is nearly complete, famously quoting: "Analogue 3D has been in development for 4 years, obsessively. It’s at 99%. Hardware, system, packaging--the full kit--been set for months. The last 1% is where we’re focused."
