This highly anticipated update, revealed on November 30, 2025, is set to usher in a "new era" for the beloved title, introducing groundbreaking changes to the island, core gameplay, and player progression.

The Golden Coast Beckons: New POIs & Movement

Chapter 7 transports players to "the Golden Coast," a vibrant new region within the Fortnite Battle Royale map. Forget the traditional Battle Bus; players will now "Storm Surf their way to the Island" for dynamic, action-packed entries. This fresh landscape boasts an array of never-before-seen Points of Interest (POIs) that promise diverse combat and exploration opportunities:

  • Battlewood Boulevard
  • Sandy Strip
  • Wonkeeland
  • Classified Canyon
  • And more undisclosed locations across the Golden Coast.

Revolutionary Gameplay Mechanics Arrive

"Pacific Break" introduces a suite of innovative gameplay mechanics designed to keep players in the fight longer and offer strategic depth. Epic Games emphasizes a new "Stay in the Game" system, including:

  • Self-Revive Device: Players who are Down But Not Out (DBNO) can now utilize a Self-Revive Device to get back into action.
  • Enhanced DBNO Movement: New options like Roll & Tumble, DBNO Sprint, and Stay on the Move provide unprecedented mobility while downed.
  • Drivable Reboot Vans: These mobile revival stations add a new layer of team strategy, allowing for on-the-go reboots.

Furthermore, defeating a boss will now grant significant rewards, including full Health and Shield, bonus max Health and Shield, infinite Energy, and a powerful ability. However, this power comes with a critical caveat: successful boss slayers will become visible to nearby opponents, encouraging careful tactical play.

Simple Build: Empowering Every Player

Epic Games is making building more accessible with the introduction of "Simple Build." This new option, found in Settings (Game > Building), simplifies the construction process, allowing players to "look in the direction you want to build, and just… build!" This feature aims to flatten the learning curve, welcoming new players and offering a streamlined building experience for all.

Star-Studded Battle Pass & Cinematic Event

As with every new chapter, "Pacific Break" delivers an exciting new Battle Pass brimming with iconic characters and Fortnite Originals. Players can look forward to unlocking:

  • Marty McFly
  • Fortnite Originals like Miles Cross and Cat Holloway

The Battle Pass also features special unlockable Styles for Cat Holloway, Carter Wu, and Dark Voyager (Reality Redacted), achievable by completing Quests in Blitz Royale, Reload, and Battle Royale modes respectively.

Adding to the excitement, Fortnite will host the premiere of "The Lost Chapter: Yuki's Revenge" later today, November 30, 2025. This animated movie, crafted entirely within the Fortnite engine and notably directed and written by Quentin Tarantino, will debut at 2pm ET / 11am PT / 7pm GMT / 8pm CET. Players can access the premiere 30 minutes early, marking another ambitious crossover following the hugely popular Simpsons event that brought back a record number of returning players.
