New Narrative and Gameplay Content

The "Season of Death Awakening" centers on a mysterious Death Cult that has emerged in Zarbinzet. Players are tasked with investigating the group's origins, beginning with the quest "A Gospel of Despair," which can be initiated in Kyovashad. This storyline aims to expand on the narrative threads left open by the conclusion of Lord of Hatred.

Additionally, the season features an Overwatch collaboration. By collecting a special currency called the Eye of the Overwatch, players can unlock themed cosmetics. For those who have not yet purchased the Lord of Hatred expansion, Blizzard is offering a trial period from June 30 to July 7, allowing you to create and level a Warlock up to level 30.

Changes to Itemization

Patch 3.1.0 introduces a fundamental shift in how gear functions. Blizzard is removing the Unique rarity tier entirely. Moving forward, Unique properties will function as modifiers for Mythic items. Players will be able to craft "Mythic Unique" gear by adding a Unique affix to a piece of Mythic equipment, allowing for more flexibility in build construction rather than relying solely on base Unique items.
