ESO Season One Launches July 8: Everything Coming to Tamriel Next Month

ZeniMax Online Studios has revealed a packed calendar for The Elder Scrolls Online this July, headlined by the arrival of Season One. Whether you are looking to tackle new trials or join Sheogorath for a tour of Tamriel, there is plenty on the horizon for the Gaming News front.

Season One and New Story Content

Starting July 8, players can jump into Season One, which brings a variety of new content to the game. The season includes challenging trials, daily story quests, and rewards through the new Tamriel Tome. The content will roll out in major releases throughout the season, so stay tuned for a forthcoming blog post detailing the full schedule.

For those interested in narrative-driven content, a new six-part storyline begins July 29 featuring the Prince of Madness. Sheogorath is looking for a traveling companion for his mortal holiday, which includes a visit to the Annual Artisan Cheese Festival. Completing the associated Golden Pursuits tasks during this time will net you gold, armor, and a unique Sheogorath-themed customized action.

In-Game Events and Challenges

Before the season officially kicks off, players can participate in the Zeal of Zenithar event from June 24 to July 8. By dedicating time to the God of Commerce, you can earn extra coin and collect pages for the Battlefield Provisioner outfit style. Additionally, the Golden Pursuits campaign continues through July 7, offering currency and Crown Crates for completing activities using the new Challenge Difficulty system.

Competitive players should mark their calendars for July 22–29, when the Crazy King Battleground weekend returns. This event features increased Alliance Point rewards for those who can seize victory in the chaotic matches.

Community Gatherings

The #ESOFam has two major in-person opportunities to connect this July:

• ESO Tavern 2026: Held at Castle Ludwigstein in Hesse, Germany, from July 10 to July 12. Doors open at 5 PM CEST on the 10th for socializing and themed activities.
• GCX 2026: Taking place at the Universal Orlando Resort from July 24 to July 25. The event includes a fan-run experience hosted by the Adventurers Guild of Giving, alongside a dedicated development and community panel.
