Red Dead Online Bounty Hunter Bonuses: Triple Rewards Live Through August

Available now across Xbox One, PlayStation 4, and PC, the event offers significant boosts to earnings and a wide array of free gear, running until August 3, 2026.

Triple Rewards Across the Frontier

The primary draw this month is the massive increase in payouts for those chasing down outlaws. You’ll earn 3x RDO$, XP, and Role XP for standard Bounties, while the more challenging Legendary and Infamous Bounties grant 3x RDO$, XP, and Gold. These bonuses also apply to Bounty Hunter Free Roam Events, such as Manhunt and Day of Reckoning.

Participation also yields cosmetic rewards:

• Rushword Shirt: Earned by taking part in any Bounty Hunter Free Roam Event.
• Asking for Trouble Emote: Unlocked by completing any Bounty.
• War Cry Emote: Awarded for completing a Legendary Bounty.
• Morning Tail Coat: Available to those who complete every Bounty Hunter Daily Challenge during the event.

Posse Benefits and Weekly Bonuses

Rockstar is incentivizing group play throughout July. The setup fee for Persistent Posses has been waived entirely, and every activity completed as part of a Posse now grants a 100% XP boost. Additionally, players can track specific weekly goals:

• June 30 – July 6: Complete two Bounties for three Hawkmoth Bolas and 100 rounds of Express Repeater Ammo.
• July 7 – July 13: Complete a Persistent Posse activity to receive the Eberhart Coat.
• July 14 – July 20: Purchase a weapon modification to earn the West Hill Haven Treasure Map.
• July 21 – July 27: Reach Rank 20 as a Bounty Hunter or rank up five times to get the Raccoon Hat.
• July 28 – August 3: Complete two Bounties to earn a free weapon reward.

Discounts and Limited-Time Gear

To mark Independence Day, all players who log in this month will receive the Rebellion Poncho, while active Bounty Hunters will also unlock the Spirit of 1776 Bandana. A new community-inspired outfit, designed by user Historical-Stock-303 from the r/reddeadfashion subreddit, is also available.

For those looking to upgrade their equipment, the update features deep discounts, including five Gold Bars off Bounty Hunter Licenses, a free Bounty Hunter Wagon, and 50% off a variety of items such as Breton Horses, bandoliers, coats, and specialized weapon customizations. Selected ammunition pamphlets are also discounted by 30%.
