Black Ops 7 & Warzone Season 1 Unleashes Massive Content Drop
Gaming giants Activision have officially pulled back the curtain on an unprecedented content roadmap for Call of Duty: Black Ops 7 and Warzone Season 1, set to detonate on December 4th. This monumental update marks the full integration of Black Ops 7 into Warzone, delivering an expansive suite of new maps, weapons, game modes, a fresh Battle Pass, and compelling narrative extensions across all fronts. Players are advised to prepare for a paradigm shift in their Call of Duty experience.
Deployment Details & Core Events
The highly anticipated Season 1 update is scheduled to go live across all platforms on December 4th, with deployment times slated for 9 AM PT / 12 PM ET / 5 PM BST. Kicking off the season is the "Rally Point" event, a community-driven initiative spanning all game modes, including the campaign's Endgame, offering cosmetic rewards for participants. Later in the season, players can look forward to a festive "Naughty and Nice" holiday event, promising unique seasonal rewards.
Battle Pass & Elite Operators
Black Ops 7's inaugural Battle Pass features over 100 new content pieces across both free and premium tiers. Headlining the paid track is the operator Alden Dorne, with an exclusive variant skin unlockable upon full Battle Pass completion. The premium "BlackCell" pass makes its return at $30, granting immediate access to the "Scorn" operator alongside a collection of additional exclusive cosmetics.
Expansive Weapon Arsenal
Season 1 is set to arm players with seven new weapons. Two are immediately accessible via the free Battle Pass tiers:
- Kogot-7 (Submachine Gun): Visually resembling the classic MP7.
- Maddox RFB (Assault Rifle): A fan-favorite returning from Black Ops 4.
Further into the season, additional weapons will become unlockable through various in-game challenges:
- Ballistic Knife
- Sokol 545 (Light Machine Gun)
- NX Ravager (Crossbow)
- HX (Sniper Rifle)
- Sturmwolf 45 (Submachine Gun)
Multiplayer Map & Mode Overhaul
Seven new and remastered multiplayer maps are inbound, with a staggered release through midseason.
New Maps:
- Fate: Inspired by the "Time and Fate" campaign mission, featuring fractured, floating city pieces in Nicaragua.
- Odysseus: Another new locale drawing from a campaign mission.
- Utopia: A futuristic Guild facility set in Australia.
- Yakei: A small-scale map for 6v6 and 2v2 modes, set atop neon-lit Japanese city rooftops.
Remastered Classics:
- Meltdown (from Black Ops 2)
- Standoff (from Black Ops 2)
- Fringe (from Black Ops 3)
Additionally, the fan-favorite map Hijacked will receive a festive holiday makeover.
New Game Modes:
Popular party modes returning at launch include Prop Hunt, One in the Chamber, and Sharpshooter. Post-launch, Sticks and Stones and Gun Game will appear. A brand-new mode, "Takeover," arrives midseason—a 6v6 objective mode blending Domination and Hardpoint, where teams battle for control over three moving neutral territories. A holiday-themed limited-time mode, featuring snowball fights, is also on the horizon.
Midseason Equipment & Scorestreaks:
The midseason update will also introduce tactical equipment, lethal options, and field upgrades from Black Ops 6, including the Shock Charge, Impact and Thermal lethals, and the Tactical Insertion. Several Black Ops 6 scorestreaks will also be added: Archangel Launcher, Combat Bow, Death Machine, Dreadnought, Grim Reaper, SAM Turret, Strategic Bomber, and War Machine.
Zombies Unleashed: Astra Malorum
The Zombies narrative expands with a brand-new map, "Astra Malorum," transporting the crew to a skull-shaped rock in space for a cosmic fight against the undead. This map introduces the formidable O.S.C.A.R. robot enemy and the LGM-1 Wonder Weapon, capable of firing UFO-shaped projectiles. Smaller survival maps, Exit 115 and Zarya Cosmodrome, are also included. A "Directed mode" for "Ashes of the Damned" will provide assistance for completing its story quest. Returning fan-favorite perks and field upgrades include Mule Kick, Shatter Blast, Tesla Storm, Mr Peeks, and Frost Blast (from Black Ops 6).
Warzone Integration & Tactical Updates
Season 1 ushers in "Haven's Hollow," a new Resurgence map for Warzone, set in the pre-outbreak version of Liberty Falls, the town featured in Black Ops 6's Zombies mode. Verdansk will continue to serve as Warzone's large-scale battle royale map, receiving two new points of interest: "Factory," a large industrial building near Superstore, and "Signal Station," which offers objectives rewarding intel. Crucially, Black Ops 7's weapon and attachment pool will be fully integrated into Warzone, alongside significant perk changes to reshape the meta.
Endgame Campaign Enhancements
The game's Endgame campaign mode receives compelling new world events in Avalon. Players will face off against massive bosses, including the Zombie T-Rex from Black Ops 6 Zombies, the iconic Origins robot from Black Ops 2 Zombies, and a challenging VTOL warship.
