Last Updated: November 1, 2025

Pokémon Go October 2024 events featuring Timburr, Darkrai, and Halloween.

Trainers, prepare for a month filled with spooky encounters and powerful Pokémon as the autumn season takes full hold in Pokémon Go. October 2024 is delivering a packed schedule, headlined by the highly anticipated annual Halloween event, a Community Day featuring the Muscular Pokémon, Timburr, and a fearsome rotation of Legendary and Mega Raid bosses.

As the nights grow longer, the game is embracing the eerie atmosphere with themed activities, valuable bonuses, and countless opportunities to catch rare Ghost- and Dark-type Pokémon. Here’s your complete, authoritative breakdown of everything confirmed for Pokémon Go in October 2024.

Timburr Community Day Builds the Foundation

The main event for October is the Timburr Community Day, scheduled for Sunday, October 15, 2024, from 2:00 PM to 5:00 PM local time. The Guts Pokémon will appear much more frequently in the wild, providing a fantastic opportunity to hunt for its shiny variant and gather candy.

Evolving Gurdurr (Timburr’s evolution) into Conkeldurr during the event or up to five hours afterward will grant it the powerful Dark-type Charged Attack, Brutal Swing. This move significantly boosts Conkeldurr's utility in both raids and PvP battles.

As always, a suite of valuable event bonuses will be active:

  • 3× Catch Stardust
  • 2× Candy for catching Pokémon
  • 2× chance for Trainers level 31 and up to receive Candy XL from catching
  • Lure Modules and Incense activated during the event will last for three hours
  • One additional Special Trade (maximum of two for the day)
  • Trades will require 50% less Stardust

Following the main hours, four-star raids featuring Gurdurr will be available. Winning these raids will cause Timburr to spawn in a 300-meter radius around the gym for 30 minutes.

Pokémon Go Halloween 2024 Event

October wouldn't be complete without the annual Halloween celebration, which is expected to run during the last two weeks of the month. While full details are still emerging from the shadows, this event is historically one of the year's biggest.

Players can anticipate:

  • New Pokémon Debuts: The Halloween event is the traditional time for Niantic to introduce new Ghost-type Pokémon from later generations or new costumed variants of fan favorites.
  • Increased Spawns: Expect a significant increase in Ghost- and Dark-type Pokémon in the wild, on Incense, and in Field Research rewards. This is the perfect time to hunt for shiny Phantump, Yamask, and others.
  • Spooky Music & Atmosphere: The in-game map and music will receive a spooky makeover to enhance the Halloween theme.
  • Event Bonuses: Look forward to bonuses like double Catch, Hatch, or Transfer Candy, which are staples of the Halloween event.
