EMPULSE Launches 'Refer-a-Friend' Program With Real Cash Rewards

1047 Games is looking to expand the player base for its Early Access title EMPULSE by launching a new, direct-to-player referral program. The initiative aims to reward those who help bring new participants into the game with both cosmetic in-game rewards and, for eligible users, real cash payouts.

⚡ Quick Facts
  • Program: Refer-a-Friend
  • Requirement: Friend must play 130+ minutes and not refund the game
  • Max Payout: Up to $5 per referral
  • Eligibility: 18+ years old, 1047 Games account, supported regions only

How the Referral System Works

Every player is assigned a unique referral code. To participate, you simply share your code with someone new to EMPULSE. For a referral to qualify, your friend must enter that code within seven days of downloading the game and within their first 100 minutes of in-match playtime.

Once your friend has played at least 130 minutes of in-match time and has not processed a refund, the system registers the successful referral. Both the referrer and the new player will receive in-game rewards for the effort.

Earning Real Cash

Beyond cosmetic items, 1047 Games is offering up to $5 per referral for players in specific regions. The developer notes that cash rewards may vary based on the local purchase price and the region of the referred player. The program currently only supports payouts for players located in the United States and Europe due to limitations with their payment processor.

To claim these funds, you must have an official 1047 Games account. Once a referral is confirmed, the developer will send an email with instructions on how to claim the reward. Because the studio needs to ensure purchases are not refunded, there is a roughly 30-day waiting period before cash rewards become available. Users may be required to link a bank account and complete verification steps before the transfer is finalized.

There is no limit on how many friends you can refer, meaning there is no cap on potential earnings. However, the system does have a minimum cashout requirement of $5, and US-based players who earn more than $600 will be required to file tax documentation provided by the developer.

Building the Community

The studio is positioning this program as a way to bolster the game during its Early Access phase. By encouraging players to "stack into matches" and bring friends into the world of Eidolon, 1047 Games hopes to generate more feedback and keep the queue times active. If you are outside of the supported cash-payout regions, you can still participate in the program and earn the associated in-game rewards.
