IdleOn Summer Event Adds Free Pet Bonus Tokens and New Glowfish Map

Developer LavaFlame2 has kicked off the IdleOn Summer Event, bringing a suite of new features, a fresh map, and a unique way for players to snag powerful pet bonuses without needing to own the pets themselves.

The standout addition is the Pet-Bonus Token. By defeating any monster, players earn one of these tokens. To use it, you simply need to find another player who owns the pet bonus you are interested in—including those from exclusive bundles—double-click their character, and select the trade option to find the 'Use Token' system. Crucially, this grants you the passive bonus of the pet, not the pet itself. If you happen to acquire the pet for real at a later date, your token is refunded, allowing you to reallocate it to a different bonus.

New Content and Event Rewards

The Summer Event brings back classic rewards alongside new items. Players can participate in the 'Buried Treasure' event game to earn Skeleton Keys. These keys offer a chance at rewards like Prisma Bubble Fragments, Cosmic Balls, or Gold Balls. According to the developer, players can expect an average of 2.41 Event Points per play of the Buried Treasure game.

Explorers also have a new destination: a map featuring the formidable Glowfish. These creatures boast 5,000T Crystal HP, and their card offers a passive boost to Research EXP. The new map also features bioluminescent scenery that reacts to player movement, a visual flair now added to various World 1 maps as well.

Balance and Technical Updates

LavaFlame2 has implemented several adjustments to game systems:

  • Damage Notation: Players will now see 'Crystal Trillion' (T) notation in their stats display for higher accuracy.
  • Friend Bonuses: The maximum Friend Bonus cap has been increased beyond the previous level 12,000 threshold, though scaling is now more aggressive to compensate.
  • Cavern 18 Buffs: The Killionaire upgrade is now 1.5x stronger with cheaper scaling, while Slop Drop, Droplier, and Droplier+ have also received 1.5x effectiveness buffs.
  • Bug Fixes: Cardiovascular and Pulsation talents are now dropping correctly up to level 100, and a display bug preventing high-leveled accounts from sending friend bonuses has been resolved.

The developer also confirmed that the Bin Goosey pet is currently available with a drop rate designed to favor players before they hit the pity threshold. Finally, the patch notes include a list of 10 winners who received 1,500 crystals, and LavaFlame2 is offering another 1,500 crystals to 10 players who comment their first IdleOn player name on the official Steam patch notes post.
