Fortnite Gummy Power Hour: How to Get the Rare Zero Point Sprite

"Fortnite Gummy Zero Point Sprite." Four words that, until recently, meant nothing to me. Today? It’s all I hear. It's on social media, in-game chatter, and even my little cousin is asking how to get one. While you can currently count the number of players who have successfully extracted a Gummy Zero Point Sprite on one hand, this Saturday’s Gummy Power Hour might finally change that.
Sprites were first introduced in Fortnite Chapter 6, Season 1, back in December 2024. While they have remained a consistent gameplay feature, they became a massive facet of the experience with the launch of Chapter 7, Season 3 on June 6. These equippable critters occupy a unique inventory slot and provide passive buffs, such as shield regeneration or improved chances of finding rare loot.
The Rarity of the Gummy Zero Point Sprite
While standard Sprites are common, the Gummy Zero Point variant is widely considered the most sought-after item in the battle royale right now. The standard Zero Point Sprite—which spawns a Shield Bubble Jr. whenever you use a healing item—already has a low base drop rate of 1.044% from Sprite Chests. The Gummy version, however, is statistically elusive.
According to data from Fortnite.gg, the Gummy variant appears in Sprite Chests just 0.006% of the time. If you are hunting in Rare Chests, those odds drop even further to 0.0021%. To put that into perspective, your chances of finding one in a standard Sprite Chest are only slightly higher than the odds of being struck by lightning in your lifetime (0.005%).
Boosted Odds During Power Hour
If you are looking to add this rare item to your collection, this Saturday is your best chance. Epic Games is hosting a Gummy Power Hour, an event where the developers tinker with item spawn rates. This week, Gummy Sprites are receiving a significant drop rate increase. Furthermore, Epic has confirmed that the event duration will be doubled to two hours, giving players a much wider window to search.
At the time of writing, there has been only one officially confirmed extraction of the Gummy Zero Point Sprite. While a few claims have popped up on social media, the community remains largely empty-handed. I’ll be jumping into the battle royale this weekend for a desperate attempt at finding one myself—and no, I won't be giving it to my little cousin if I get lucky. Good luck, and happy hunting. You are going to need it.
