How to Beat the Crystal Devourer in Lost Castle 2

In Lost Castle 2, the Crystal Mountain region hides one of the game's most challenging encounters: the Crystal Devourer. This massive dragon requires careful positioning and patience to take down. If you're looking to farm its rewards or progress through the Black Castle, here is how you can survive the fight.
Opening Moves and Positioning
The fight kicks off with the dragon flying into the air and crashing down at your location; be ready to dodge backward immediately. Once the battle begins, your golden rule is to stay behind the dragon. Most of its attacks, including its double claw swipes, are directed forward. By hugging its rear, you stay out of the primary line of fire.
Watch out for the dragon’s AoE rock attack. If you see a red exclamation mark over its head, stop attacking and create distance to avoid the erupting ground. Throughout the fight, the boss will summon rocks to create a pseudo-cage. Destroy these as quickly as you can—if you leave them up, they will limit your movement and make dodging later, more dangerous attacks nearly impossible.
Managing the Crystal Phase
When the boss hits 75% health (after losing 25% of its total HP), it will slam its claw into the ground and gain a crystal coating. This grants the dragon lightning abilities and provides it with damage reduction from the front. If you see blue circles appearing on the ground, move out of them instantly to avoid incoming lightning strikes. Poison is highly effective here; since the dragon isn't very mobile, you can easily apply multiple stacks to chip away at its health.
Surviving the 50% Health Threshold
At the halfway point, the Crystal Devourer will fly off-screen to unleash a relentless barrage of electrical attacks. Your only goal during this phase is survival—keep moving until the dragon returns to the arena.
Once it lands, the dragon will infuse its standard moves with electricity. Its dive attack will now deal electrical damage, and it will begin to leap into the air for a high-damage shockwave slam. If the boss takes enough damage while its claw is crystal-covered, you will shatter the crystal, stunning the dragon and disabling its electrical attacks. Once you successfully topple the beast, you’ll be rewarded with the dragon's armor and weapon set, Black Iron Ore, and the Crystal Dragon Scale for your Alchemy Amulet.
