Lost Castle 2 Achievement Guide: How to Unlock Everything

If you're hunting for every achievement in Lost Castle 2 on PC, you'll need to balance combat mastery with a serious amount of looting. Because many of these objectives are tied to specific boss encounters and progression milestones, this guide breaks down how to tackle the toughest unlocks.

Getting Started: Progression and Collections

Your journey begins in the camp. After your first tutorial run, you'll unlock Adventure Begins. From there, your priority should be the "Collector" series of achievements. These track the total number of unique items you have recorded in your adventure log:

  • Junior Collector: 20 treasures and 20 weapons.
  • Intermediate Collector: 50 treasures and 50 weapons.
  • Senior Collector: 100 treasures and 100 weapons.
  • Top Collector: 200 treasures and 200 weapons.
  • Super Treasure Collector: 285 treasures.

These will happen naturally as long as you swap your gear frequently and pick up every piece of treasure you find. For weapons, remember that variants count toward your total, so don't feel forced to switch weapon types constantly unless you're aiming for the weapon-specific "successful adventure" achievements like Archmage (Staff), Agile Slayer (Dual-Blades), or Steam Demolitionist (Turbo Lance).

Defeating the Black Forest and Castle Bosses

Many achievements are tied to boss kills. Note that bosses in Lost Castle 2 are not guaranteed to appear in every run. If you are hunting a specific boss, you may need to reset your run multiple times.

  • Black Forest: Defeat the Mad Gardener (Courtyard Cleansing), the Goblin Champion (Brother, Hold On), and the Forest Guardian (Wrath of the Black Forest).
  • Castle Bridge: Defeat the Wandering Knight (Death Duel on the Bridge).
  • Black Castle: Defeat Steward and the Demon Lord (Demon Shadow).

Once you reach the Black Castle for the first time, you will trigger the Amnesiac Girl scene, which is vital for the game's narrative progression.

Mastering Ethereal Nightmare and True Ending

After you beat the initial run, you unlock Ethereal Nightmare mode. This is where the game's difficulty scales up and the true endgame begins. To unlock the true ending and the final boss, The Deceitful Chaos God, you must navigate the hidden paths of the Mage Tower.

Key endgame milestones include:

  • Nightmare Depth 1–5: Earned by completing successful runs at each respective Nightmare depth level.
  • Memory Fragments: Collect all of these by reaching Nightmare 3 to access the hidden Mage Tower area.
  • Soul Seals: Focus on unlocking 27 Soul Seals and activating their resonance to earn Master of All Arts and Peak Warrior.

For the true ending, once you have reached the Mage Tower, you must defeat Source of the Nightmare and then Lord Alfred. Finally, you will face the Chaos God and its two Deceitful Aspects. Pro tip: Always focus on the Aspects before targeting the Chaos God to make the encounter manageable.

Camp Upgrades and Miscellaneous Tasks

Don't ignore your base camp. To unlock Unity of Purpose, you must fully upgrade the Expedition Camp at Armstrong's. Other essential upgrades include the Alchemist's Hut and the Blacksmith, which are required for Exquisite Craftsmanship and Equal Exchange. Keep an eye on the merchants in your camp; purchasing 50 ornaments and all "Knockoff" treasures is required for the Consumerism and High Cost-Effectiveness achievements.
