Latest PC Updates: Clearing Up the 1.0 Confusion

The team behind the latest 1.0 release has been busy, rolling out a rapid series of updates to polish the experience. If you’ve been following the recent patch notes, the developer wants to make one thing clear: despite the confusing version numbering early on, this is officially a 1.0 release.

The latest stretch of updates—ranging from v1.6.12.3 to v1.6.13.1—focuses on squashing bugs, refining unit behavior, and correcting localization errors. You can find the full list of changes below.

⚡ Quick Facts
  • Version Range: 1.6.12.3 to 1.6.13.1
  • Platform: PC
  • Status: Full 1.0 Release
  • Key Focus: Bug fixes, UI, and unit balancing

Formation Logic and Balance Changes

One of the most significant quality-of-life improvements arrived in v1.6.12.4, which implemented "Smarter Formations." Your army will now automatically sort itself, placing melee units at the front, keeping ranged units in the middle, and ensuring artillery stays safely at the back.

Balance adjustments were also a priority in the most recent 1.6.13.0 and 1.6.13.1 patches:

  • Veilpiercers: Base range has been cut from 120 to 85, and attack accuracy lowered from 85 to 73.
  • Sanguine Court: Mistwraiths saw a speed increase from 30 to 50, with their charge bonus jumping from 4 to 16. Deathhaven Fiends received a buff to melee attack (30 to 35) and armor (15 to 25).
  • Recruitment: Town recruitment costs now scale with size at 10, 20, and 40.

Fixes and UI Improvements

The developer has addressed a variety of visual and functional bugs, including a peculiar issue where the "Naginata Onna" icon was sporting an unintended mustache. Other notable fixes include:

  • UI/UX: Added a weather effect tooltip to map nodes, resolved an issue where unit selection sounds would stack and grow louder, and added a delete save file button to the main menu.
  • Localization: Corrected Chinese translation errors, including a fix for "Purge the blight" which previously misinformed players about unit healing.
  • Technical: Disabled Unity Analytics to resolve connection issues and added a null check for campaign loading to prevent failures caused by missing tree assets.
  • Exploit Fixes: Fixed an exploit where players could identify hidden battle nodes via the weather tooltip, and prevented the event panel roll cost from decreasing incorrectly due to metaprogression.

The team is continuing to monitor game updates and feedback, so keep those reports coming. For those playing on higher difficulties, event reroll buttons now display a locked blocker to clarify why they may be unavailable, rather than simply hiding them.
