Planet Coaster 2 Parades Pack Adds Custom Shows and New Rides

Theme park simulation fans can now add a new layer of spectacle to their parks. Frontier Developments has released the Planet Coaster 2: Parades Pack, a new DLC offering that brings the classic tradition of park parades to the creative simulator. The pack is available now for £14.99 on Xbox Series X|S, PlayStation 5, and PC.

Designing Your Own Park Spectacles

The headline feature allows players to build and manage parades for the first time in the series. Using over 250 new scenery pieces, managers can construct original floats or utilize blueprints to create displays ranging from festival wagons to Americana-themed processions. Once designed, these parades can be scheduled, with routes set to ensure they become a regular part of the park's daily rhythm.

The system is integrated into the park’s economy and guest management; entertainers can lead the procession or ride on the floats, while guests watching the event will receive a mood boost and have their entertainment needs met. This turns the parade feature into more than just a visual addition, providing a functional way to keep visitors satisfied.

New Attractions and Americana Scenery

Beyond the parades, the pack expands the roster of available attractions. Thrill-seekers gain access to the HPC Buzzard, a compact single-rail coaster, and the V&N Narrow Drop, a smaller-scale drop coaster. For flat ride enthusiasts, the pack includes the bouncing Jumpin’ Disc and the kid-friendly Little Dipper. Additionally, the FD Vision Electric Trolley provides a new transport option for moving guests across larger parks.

The aesthetic theme centers on "Small Town Americana," with assets designed to help players build realistic high streets, town squares, and promenade areas. To complete the atmosphere, Frontier has included 19 new firework emitters, six new music tracks, and ten ambient sounds.

Free Update 10 Enhancements

Alongside the paid DLC, all players receive Free Update 10. This update introduces several quality-of-life improvements, including:

• Vista Points: Designated spots where guests stop to admire park scenery.
• Event Points: Tools for triggering sequenced events throughout the park.
• Path Integration: Transport rides can now be placed directly on paths, with guests dynamically moving out of the way of approaching vehicles.

The free update also adds new decorative items such as souvenir flags, wands, and celebration bunting, ensuring that even those who do not purchase the Parades Pack gain new tools for their park layouts.
