Star Fox, DELTARUNE Chapter 5, and DMC 5 Arrive on Nintendo Switch 2
This week’s Nintendo Download update brings several high-profile titles to the Nintendo Switch 2, led by a brand-new, cinematic take on Star Fox. Players can jump into the Lylat System now to experience overhauled character designs, revamped stages, and a full orchestral soundtrack. The release also introduces new modes, including online multiplayer, and a free demo is currently live on the eShop.
Action and Adventure Updates
Action fans have plenty to dig into this week. Devil May Cry 5 Devil Hunter Edition has launched for the Nintendo Switch 2, featuring high-octane combat at 60 fps in both handheld and TV modes. This edition includes Vergil as a playable character and a variety of previously released downloadable content.
For those looking for a different kind of experience, DELTARUNE Chapter 5 is available starting today. The update is free for both Nintendo Switch and Nintendo Switch 2, allowing players to continue the parallel story of the UNDERTALE universe with new characters and battles.
Events and Summer Savings
Nintendo is hosting the 55th Tetris 99 MAXIMUS CUP, which leans into the Star Fox theme. Between July 10 and July 13, Nintendo Switch Online members can earn 100 event points to unlock a custom theme featuring art and music inspired by the new Star Fox release.
In other activities, the Pokémon Pokopia “Wish Upon a Jirachi” event is active until July 8. Players can visit the Pokémon Center to befriend Jirachi and craft wish notes, which are exchangeable for starry-sky-themed furniture.
Finally, a Summer Sale is running on the Nintendo eShop from now until July 8, offering discounts on a wide selection of digital games and DLC for the Switch and Switch 2.
