Jurassic World Evolution 3: Rebirth Expansion Adds New Species and Campaign

Frontier Developments has officially launched the Jurassic World Evolution 3: Rebirth Expansion. Available today on Xbox Series X|S, PlayStation 5, and PC for £19.99, the DLC takes players back to the events preceding the Jurassic World Rebirth film, adding a fresh campaign, new management tools, and expanded prehistoric rosters.

⚡ Quick Facts
  • Release Date: June 16, 2026
  • Price: £19.99
  • Platforms: Xbox Series X|S, PlayStation 5, PC
  • Key Additions: 4 new species, geothermal power, and 387 scenery pieces

New Campaign and Management Mechanics

The expansion tasks players with overseeing operations across three distinct locations: ÃŽle Saint-Hubert’s Main Facility, the Ancient Valley, and the Riverside Lab. Each map presents unique layout challenges that build upon the core park-building experience. Along with these locations, the update introduces geothermal power generation, allowing for more efficient, natural energy management within your facilities.

Progression is further refined through a new Assignment system. Players can tackle Priority Assignments to advance the campaign, while optional objectives unlock additional research projects, experimental upgrades, and genomes. For those focused on aesthetic and structural variety, the expansion includes 387 scenery pieces and 37 new blueprints, ranging from InGen-themed facilities to ancient Mayan structures.

Prehistoric Additions and Experimental Traits

Beyond the management tools, four new species have been added to the game: the Distortus rex, Mutadon, Aquilops, and Titanosaurus. Frontier has also updated models and skins for existing fan-favorite creatures, including the T. rex, Spinosaurus, Mosasaurus, Quetzalcoatlus, Dilophosaurus, and Velociraptor.

For players looking to push the limits of their park's genetics, the addition of experimental traits allows for new ways to influence creature behavior and specific species characteristics. Furthermore, the introduction of Open Air Aviaries provides better visibility for flying reptiles while offering more flexibility for terrain editing.

Free Update 1.3

Alongside the paid expansion, all Jurassic World Evolution 3 owners receive access to the free Update 1.3. This patch introduces semi-aquatic behavior for the T. rex, expanded functionality for the Cretaceous Cruise within aviaries, and the return of the Cearadactylus as a family unit.

The Rebirth Expansion arrives as a follow-up to the previously released Wetlands DLC. With a high critical reception for the base game, this expansion continues to expand the scope of the management series.
