Pokémon Pokopia Events Guide: Current Schedule and How to Get Rewards

If you're looking to expand your village roster and deck out your camp with exclusive gear, keeping an eye on Pokémon Pokopia events is essential. These limited-time occurrences are your only way to snag specific Pokémon and thematic furniture sets that aren't available through standard gameplay.
Upcoming Pokémon Pokopia Events
The next major update is just around the corner:
- Wish Upon a Jirachi: Runs from June 23 to July 8, 2026. By fulfilling wishes for Jirachi, you can unlock cosmic-themed furniture, including a telescope, bedroom decor, and wall stickers.
How Events Work in Pokémon Pokopia
When an event is active, you'll receive a notification upon loading the game stating that a "Pokémon is the talk of the town." Head over to the Pokémon Center to meet the visitor. Note that events are only available in towns where you have already completed the Pokémon Center rebuild, and they do not occur on Cloud Islands.
While the developers don't officially support it, players can currently access events by time-traveling on their Nintendo Switch. Simply change your system date to the event window to trigger the content. Be aware that this is unofficial and could be patched in future updates.
Accessing Past Event Rewards
Missed out on earlier visitors? You can still "time skip" to previous events to add them to your Pokédex. For example, if you want the Hoppip, Skiploom, and Jumpluff line, you can set your console date back to March 9–24, 2026. Once you've met them, you can build their specific habitats:
- Hoppip, Skiploom, and Jumpluff: Requires the Yellow carpet (four dandy flowers).
- Skiploom: Requires Field-trip friends (one flower backpack, one lunch box, one Hoppip water bottle).
- Jumpluff: Requires Dandelion lunchtime (one dandy flower, one flower cushion, one lunch box, one flowery table setting).
Collecting Cotton Spores
To trade for items during the Hoppip event, you'll need cotton spores. These aren't found in the Withered Wastelands or Rocky Ridges. Instead, you must flag down a Drifloon to travel to a Pokopia Dream Island. Once there, you can collect spores by pressing Y or by holding Y to inhale them from the surroundings.
Notable Past Events
- Sableye Event (April 29 – May 14, 2026): Players exchanged crystal fragments for items at the Pokémon Center.
- Bulbasaur's Jump Rope Contest (April 19 – April 27, 2026).
- April Fools Day (April 1, 2026): Correctly answering three quizzes from Pokémon with a '…' sign above their heads rewarded players with an inflatable, wibbly wobbly Sudowoodo.
