Warframe Update Jade Shadows: Constellations Adds Dual Warframe

Digital Extremes has launched the latest major content update for Warframe, titled Jade Shadows: Constellations. This update continues the narrative established in 2024’s Jade Shadows quest, bringing a new cinematic sequel that pits players against the Stalker’s dueling sons from parallel futures.

Meet Sirius & Orion: The First Dual Warframe

The centerpiece of this update is the debut of Sirius & Orion. Unlike traditional Warframes, these two occupy the same Arsenal slot, allowing players to swap between them during combat to utilize distinct playstyles. Both warriors wield signature Pride and Wrath Scythes, which grant Overguard and increased Critical Chance through heavy attacks.

Their ability kits are designed for synergy and tactical swapping:

• Sirius Abilities: Focuses on Heat damage and utility, including Coronal Ejection for pickups, Jade Stars for regenerating motes, and Light’s Sanctuary to heal and shield allies.
• Orion Abilities: Emphasizes Slash damage and crowd control, featuring Gravitic Slash to strip armor and shields, Astral Shell for tactical decoys, and Event Horizon to create a gravity-trapping black hole.
• Celestial Clash: Their shared ultimate ability allows them to take to the skies for a cosmic duel, consuming Constellation Stars to deal massive Blast damage.

New Protoframes and Narrative Expansions

Sirius & Orion arrive alongside two new Protoframes, Ryoku and Vena, who serve as mentors to the dual warriors. Ryoku, an Ash Protoframe, emphasizes disciplined violence, while Vena, a Garuda Protoframe, focuses on frenzied brutality. Players can choose to align with either figure when tackling the newly unlocked Uranus Proxima missions.

The Uranus Proxima expansion marks a significant accessibility milestone for the game's Game Updates. Players no longer need to own or level a Railjack to participate in these space combat missions; simply entering the Pontis Tower hub allows access to these stylized vessels.

Weaponry, Customization, and Quality of Life

The update also expands the Arsenal with the Dante Tytonis Collection, featuring a new skin for the scribe Warframe, along with Noctua Lophos and Gallistrix Warfan skins. Additionally, five classic weapons have received Incarnon variants: the Ballistica, Destreza, Obex, Stug, and Vectis.

Quality of life remains a focus in this release. Nidus has received an ability retouch to improve his health and effectiveness, while the broader PC Gaming and console experience sees technical upgrades. These include overhauled lighting for Corpus ships, the addition of Damage Over Time (DOT) indicators on enemy health bars, enhanced Junction Bosses, and improved Companion XP adjustments.
