Pokémon Pokopia Events Guide: How to Get Rewards and Jirachi
In Pokémon Pokopia, limited-time events are your best opportunity to expand your village roster and snag exclusive furniture. These events crop up periodically, and you'll know one is active when you receive a pop-up upon loading the game stating that a "Pokémon is talk of the town."
Current and Upcoming Events
The main event currently on the calendar is Wish Upon a Jirachi, running from June 23 through July 8. By fulfilling Jirachi’s wishes, you can earn cosmic-themed furniture, including a telescope, wall stickers, and various bedroom items.
As of now, there are no further events officially scheduled beyond this period. Please note that events are only available in towns where you have already completed the rebuild of the Pokémon Center; they do not occur on Cloud Islands.
How to Access Past Events
If you missed an event, the game allows for a method known as "time-traveling." By manually changing the date on your Nintendo Switch to a time when a previous event was active, you can still participate. While this may be patched in the future, it is currently a viable way to catch up on missed content.
The Hoppip Event
If you are looking to get Hoppip, Skiploom, or Jumpluff, you can time-skip to the event window (March 9 – March 24, 2026). To get these Pokémon to move in, you must build their specific habitats:
- Yellow Carpet: Requires four dandy flowers (attracts Hoppip, Skiploom, and Jumpluff).
- Field-trip Friends: Requires one flower backpack, one lunch box, and one Hoppip water bottle (attracts Skiploom).
- Dandelion Lunchtime: Requires one dandy flower, one flower cushion, one lunch box, and one flowery table setting (attracts Jumpluff).
To acquire the items sold by Hoppip in the Pokémon Center, you will need to gather cotton spores. These are found exclusively on Pokopia Dream Islands. To reach these islands, find a Drifloon and use it to travel. Once there, press Y to pick up individual spores or hold Y to inhale them from the surrounding area.
Other Notable Past Events
Past events have included:
- Sableye Event (April 29 – May 14, 2026): Sableye appears in the Pokémon Center to trade items for crystal fragments.
- Bulbasaur's Jump Rope Contest (April 19 – April 27, 2026).
- April Fools Day (April 1, 2026): Players who correctly answered three quizzes from Pokémon with a '...' sign above their heads earned an inflatable, wibbly wobbly Sudowoodo.
