Risk of Rain 2 and 11 Other Games Leaving PlayStation Plus in July 2026

PlayStation has confirmed the latest round of departures for its subscription service, and subscribers have about a month left to experience several titles. According to the "last chance to play" section on the platform, a total of 12 games are scheduled to be removed from the library by late July 2026.

Among the notable departures is the popular roguelike Risk of Rain 2. Players who have been working through the game's challenging environments should aim to finish their runs before the end of the month, as access will be revoked once the titles are cycled out of the catalog.

What Happens When Games Leave the Service?

It is important to distinguish between these catalog removals and the monthly free games offered to subscribers. Unlike the monthly titles—which remain yours to play as long as you maintain an active subscription and have claimed them to your library—games leaving the "last chance to play" section become inaccessible entirely. Even if you have already downloaded and installed them to your console's storage, you will not be able to launch them once they are removed from the service in late July.

New Additions to the Catalog

While the list of departures may be frustrating for some, PlayStation has added several new titles to the PlayStation Plus catalog this month to help balance the roster. Subscribers across various tiers can now access Final Fantasy 16 and the Destiny 2: Legacy Collection. Additionally, Warhammer 40,000: Darktide is now available for PS Plus Essential members.

The catalog will continue to grow throughout the remainder of June, with Kingdom Come: Deliverance and Life is Strange: Double Exposure arriving on June 23, followed by Farming Simulator 25, Black Desert, and Blades of Fire on June 30.

Potential Delays for July's Essential Tier

Looking ahead to next month, players may have to wait slightly longer than usual for the reveal of the July 2026 PS Plus Essential games. Because July 1 falls on a Wednesday, the traditional first Tuesday of the month lands on July 7. Consequently, the standard schedule for game announcements and releases may be pushed back, with some reports suggesting the reveal of next month's titles could occur on June 24 or potentially be delayed further into July.
