Apex Legends Overclocked Split 2: Full Patch Notes and Balance Changes

The second half of Apex Legends' Overclocked season kicks off on June 23, 2026, with a substantial update aimed at refining Legend balance, cleaning up competitive integrity, and shaking up the current weapon meta. From major overhauls for Ballistic and Pathfinder to the introduction of the Executioner hop-up, here is everything you need to know about the latest patch.
Legend Balancing Updates
The update brings significant attention to underperforming Legends while reigning in those who have dominated the meta.
- Ballistic: Aiming to boost his pick rate, Ballistic now respawns with his Sling weapon. His Tactical, Whistler, has been reworked to apply overheat to only one weapon, but damage is increased to 50 with a longer debuff duration. His Ultimate now provides a team-wide sprint boost.
- Pathfinder: The friendly robot receives a major mobility buff. His Tactical now has two charges with a flat 20-second cooldown, and he tucks in his legs while riding ziplines to reduce his hitbox.
- Seer: Receives quality-of-life buffs, including faster heartbeat sensor activation and a 2-second enemy scan upon deploying his Ultimate.
- Conduit: Following a meta-dominating streak, Conduit sees nerfs to her tactical regen rate and total regen amount, alongside a 30-second cooldown increase.
- Axle & Mad Maggie: Both aggressive Legends receive nerfs to their movement and utility. Axle’s Tactical count and HP have been reduced, while Mad Maggie's Ultimate speed boost is now restricted to sprinting only.
Weapon Meta and New Hop-Ups
Respawn is introducing the Executioner hop-up for the Peacekeeper and Mastiff, which rewards players with 50 shield regeneration over 10 seconds upon getting a knock. Conversely, the Disruptor Rounds hop-up has been removed from the Peacekeeper, and the Graffiti Mod has shifted to the Flatline and Volt.
The Nemesis is also receiving a major boost with the addition of the Turbocharger, allowing the weapon to reach its maximum fire rate significantly faster after two bursts. Additionally, the Hemlok Breach AR sees a magazine capacity reduction across all tiers to curb its dominance.
Anti-Cheat and Quality of Life
The development team has implemented new detection for reverse speed hacks that previously allowed cheaters to freeze mid-air. Several server-crashing exploits have also been patched. As part of a broader UI change, the "Champion Squad" screen has been removed from the Ranked match flow to avoid misleading player information.
Other notable fixes include:
- Bots: Now correctly loot weapons shortly after landing.
- Respawn Fixes: Deathbox and Beacon respawns now properly restore attachments and Akimbo weapons.
- Visuals: Bloom intensity has been decreased across all maps to improve visibility.
For the remainder of the split, players can expect rotating maps in Pubs and Ranked, featuring Storm Point, World’s Edge, and E-District, alongside weekly "Wildcard" map rotations.
